I can’t remember ever having seen as many ladybirds at this time of year as today. As I went outside they almost attacked me; flew towards me and landed in my face, on my head, on my clothes… I’m not afraid of them – of course! – but it is a bit unusual. At least I thought it is, until I started to google…

Anyway I got my camera outside to take some pictures. (Amazing how several of the bugs flew away as I tried to “shoot” them!)
- No heat in the office
- Power failure (wich means no computers or printers are working)
Maybe I should’ve decided staying home in bed instead?
As I was on my way home on the subway I got a phone-call from B. He didn’t say much, just that he would hand over to his sports teacher… In the first moment I was worried, but then I thought that it couldn’t be too bad – else he wouldn’t sound so relaxed. One second later his teacher told me what had happened and that we should see a doctor as soon as possible; not wait until next day.
Half an hour later B. and I got home almost at the same time (he with a hurting knee and a blood-stained sock) and then we were on our way to the hospital.
Once we got there we had to wait about 1/2 hour for his turn and then he got his knee cleaned, x-rayed and sewn. Surprisingly we were back home only two hours later; normally it could have taken several hours just to see the doc for the first examination, so we were really lucky!
This morning – after sunrise – I saw that finally winter will soon be here…
Christina Aguilera has now done what I already did several years ago!

This is one of these days: water coming from heaven and it’s quite cold as well. Right now I’m sitting in the living room with nothing but a candle to light it up. Still I enjoy the calm at home – but soon my men will be home and hungry!
Last Saturday A. lost his mobile phone on a subway-train. Fortunately one of his friends had my number so he could call me. I think he was a bit afraid that I would be mad, but I managed not to be…
Anyway, a girl called about 1/2 an hour later and told me she had found this mobile phone and that we could meet on Sunday afternoon so that we could pick it up. I liked the idea, because I wanted to give her a “finder’s fee”… At first she didn’t want to take the money, but I insisted and told her that you can’t take for granted that someone acts like she did.
I only know her name was Lisa – so thanks Lisa!
Yes, I know it’s been ages since my last post. And my site needed a relaunch as well…
Now I just want to let you know that I’m back – and there will be some updates in near future. But now I’ve got to be going to work!
See You!
This year May has been quite warm – and still is. Looks like today will be another day with nearly 30°.
It’s also a bit confusing time of year: some people have, since several weeks ago, been dressed in mini-skirts and flip-flop while some (well, not too many!) are wearing boots and warm jackets.
I think I’m somewhere in between…
Last Friday S. and I went to Hamburg. For my birthday I got tickets for Coke Sound Up with Mando Diao on Saturday in the Stadtpark. Thanks again to my favourite donor – I really enjoyed it a lot!!!
Fortunately we could stay with some friends, because it wouldn’t have been easy getting a hotel room: the Hamburg Harbour also celebrated its birthday (a few more years than I actually!) so everything was fully booked…
We were also very lucky with the weather, enjoying the walks through the harbour and the city.
